What's the best way to get sponsorship for your Balanced Scorecard project? We're considering implementing it, but I'm not sure if the rest of the leadership team sees it as critical. asked Apr 27 '11 at 13:05 Tim S |
To get leadership team sponsorship of your Balanced Scorecard project you have to pitch the BSC not as an end in itself, but as a means of achieving a goal of leadership. Why do you want to implement a BSC? To manage your organization's execution of its strategy? If leadership isn't interested in doing this, it will be a hard sell. However, if they are, you have to make the case that the BSC is the best way to do it. Citing success stories of similar organizations or competitors is a good way to make that case: If they can achieve tangible success with the BSC, why can't we?
